Our Fall Retreat will be a Sweater Workshop - Top-Down Construction
And our theme will be IRISH DESIGN in anticipation of our 2024 trip to Ireland.
Our pattern, Tangential Blues, is from Irish designer Carol Feller. We'll start by discussing how to choose the right yarn, then measuring ourselves, working a gauge swatch and discussing how to make sure your sweater will FIT.

We'll also discuss the different techniques required for the sweater - cables, short rows and how to "customize" your sweater to fit YOU.
BONUS: At the end of the retreat, don't get discouraged and put down your project if you hit a bump! When the weekend is finished, further instruction and help will be available by ZOOM meetings!
Regularly scheduled video meetings will allow you to ask questions, get encouragement and see the progress others have made, plus get demonstrations of new techniques as they appear in your knitting.

VIRTUAL SWEATER CLASS BY ZOOM: Can't attend the retreat in person? No problem - sign up for the VSC by clicking the Registration Request Button above. We'll have a special Introductory meeting to get your started (like the "in person" group), then 4 group meetings spaced out over 2 months, with 2 one-on-one sessions available to you for individual help. Intro meeting will be Sunday, October 29. $175.

Cost for the retreat is $395.00
The weekend will include 2 nights lodging, 6 meals, patterns, instruction, follow up Zoom meetings and the chance to reconnect with knitters. We'll also order up some fabulous weather, lovely scenery and lots of laughter.
